OUR DEBUT PROGRAMS

The Salon Series:

Staged Readings in Private Homes throughout the South Bay community. By invitation only.

The Staged Reading Series:

Open to the public by reservation.

These programs are our first audience initiatives, informal presentations stripped to the essence of great theatre, the word and the actor. We offer the best in American plays & playwrights, and our most talented and experienced stage actors.

Pacific Stages will build a theatre complex on the Rosecrans corridor in El Segundo to include a 99 black box and a 400 seat LORT performance space. Currently we are negotiating for an interim space, and look forward to the fundraising initiative for our permanent home in the near future.

Our audience development initiative launched in June 2005 with THE SALON SERIES, public readings of plays in keeping with our artistic mission to present the early and lesser known works of the best American playwrights, and to nurture the next generation of the same. Presented in private homes and public locations throughout the South Bay and open free to the public, the series has offered some of the most exciting stories in the theatre lexicon, with the finest actors and directors. Stripped to a plays'  dynamic essence, and with minimal rehearsal, the series has grown from a small gathering of less than twenty audience members to performances "sold out" within a day or two, to an audience of almost one hundred guests at each reading.
